Manual trading, via phone or other traditional paper medium is becoming quite an intense effort after January 2018. When MiFID II kicks in, more data has to be captured and recorded during the order process. To support electronic trading, eXimius OMS (Order Management System) has been extended with connections to Bloomberg EMSX , Clearstream, CoFunds. All new connections are available in the product, under a usage fee, and are FIX protocol compliant and certified where required.
A brand new module is launched for the UK market. The Limit module has been put in place to monitor limit orders which are RSP eligible.
The module uses a real time streaming price feed to monitor the limits. Based on several configurable settings market makers will be asked for quotes and eXimius validates whether the confirmed quotes do match the limit order. When a match is found the order is executed in the market while expired Limit orders will fail over to a dedicated dealing desk.
This periodical investments feature, already available in eXimius, allows clients to invest cash on a recurring basis into certain securities. This feature is now extended to allow investments in cash amounts next to the existing option to define a percentage of available cash.
Web services are created to allow clients to maintain their own plans via a portal. This feature allows our clients to attract more inflow and grow the business.
eXimius becomes more and more embedded in the Objectway stack of products and the new features are created in full alignment with other Objectway components. The platform created covers Front, Mid-Back Office and a Digital layer.
eXimius, as Front Office and OMS system, communicates with all the other products via a combination of direct integration ( traditional ) or via message broker ( queues ) or via direct API’s.
In eXimius 5.6, items like Initial Public Offerings (IPO), Investment Plans, Watchlists, Confirmed Executions, Price Alerts are created from scratch, but have one thing in common: publishing information to other systems. This allows the publication and disclosure of much more information than is traditionally held, internally, in the front office system. In the Digital and Online Wealth Management space this isn’t sufficient anymore. Information gathered, enriched and calculated in systems needs to be spread across the firm such as; end user portals, CRM applications, back office systems and reporting engines.
Some of the information is published on a message broker, while other information is via SOAP.
This process continues as eXimius 6 will be 100% web service driven, which provides the ability to become a service platform. Objectway's and other 3rd party's systems can consume the same services.
As of August 2015 a new generation of eXimius is under development. This new generation uses the latest web technology.
Within eXimius 5.6 a second iteration of the new generation is available via a separated web application. The portfolio module has the following beta features: Portfolio Overview, Holdings, Properties & Performance.
The application is not ready for production purposes but can be used in beta testing.
