Application Development

This service is for the implementation and maintenance of applications and/or services with JEE, .Net and SOA architecture.

The service covers all project phases: analysis of business requirements, proposal of application and technology architecture, scheduling and resource planning, technical analysis, design, development, testing and roll-out.

Platform Adoption & Integration

This service makes it possible to use middleware - for Enterprise Portal, Business Process Management, Enterprise Application Integration, Business Intelligence, Document & Content Management - on your own IT infrastructure and software applications.

The main vendors we support are: Oracle, Microsoft, IBM, Tibco, Computer Associates, Free-Open-Source.

The service covers all project phases: process analysis, software selection, gap analysis and feasibility, platform installation, configuration and implementation, project management, handover to users and directors, awareness and conformity verification.

The handover to users and administrators entails support for the establishment of an internal center of competence, client staff training and maintenance of implementations.

Application Re-hosting

This service supports the migration of applications from mainframe legacy systems to open commercial and open source platforms. ObjectWay covers all project phases: technological platform selection, planning of migration strategy, functional and technical reverse engineering, design, development, testing and roll-out.

Application Management

ObjectWay takes over responsibility of certain client subsystems or entire applications entailing maintenance and bug-fixing (tracking of business needs, patch & service pack development and updates) and operation (current administration, problem-incident management, service desk). The service is based on a Service Level Agreement (SLA) and a detailed Service Level Management contract and Recovery terms and conditions.

Delivery mode

A Client Delivery Manager is appointed to assure that software meets all requirements at the agreed quality levels, timing, cost and level of service.

The location of work depends on the terms of the engagement and the client’s organisation and can be either:

• on-site: full integration with the client’s organisation. All ObjectWay staff will be located at the client’s premises and will be responsible for the delivery. Staff will work as an integral part of the client’s organisation.
• at ObjectWay’s offices: in this case the client specifies the requirements and conducts analyses on-site together with ObjectWay, the rest of the work being performed at ObjectWay development and operations centers located throughout Italy thus assuring timing, cost, quality and levels of service.
